Three friends remember the Christopher Street Pier.

Pier 45 in Greenwich Village has always had a place in gay culture as a meeting place and for some, a home. In 1996, it was demolished. Many saw this as an attempt to force the largely Latino and black community who used the pier to leave the rapidly gentrifying Village.
